On January 1st 2014, the Desert Island Mixtape Project was launched. You are stranded on an island. You only have one song to listen to for the rest of your life. Each month a new band/artist is chosen. The band for the month of October was The Smiths. Morrissey's crooning with Marr's guitar landscapes created a such pop perfection. There was a moodiness and yet there was a lightness to their songs. It is difficult to describe.
